All training will be conducted at Greenville First Baptist Church at the corner of Cleveland and Faris Streets unless otherwise indicated.  Please use the gym entrance located at the back of the property.

NOTES:

  1. All sessions are 1 hour except as indicated on the schedule.
  2. All pools/clubs must have one representative attend each of these sessions: Clerk of Course, Chief Timer/Runners, Records/Ribbons, and Software.  At least one person who will be Chief Timer at meets must attend Chief Timer/Runners training from each pool. 
  3. All pools/clubs shall conduct training sessions for their pools/clubs on each area of expertise:  Clerk of Course, Timers (preferably conducted by the trained Chief Timer(s)) and Records.  An attendance list for each session shall be submitted to the SAIL Education Committee (David Kramer) prior to the first meet.
  4. Starters must attend a Stroke & Turn session.  Referees must attend Stroke & Turn and Starter sessions.  New referees (others welcome) will be offered additional training on clerk of course, records and timers at the end of the Referee session (approximately ½ hour).
  5. All pools/clubs must have one coach attend the coach’s session.  All coaches are encouraged to attend this session.  A stroke and turn briefing will be included.
  6. Software training offered twice.  New personnel will need to attend the entire (1 1/2 hour) session.  Returning personnel need to attend the first hour.
  7. This session will be a short part of the regular SAIL representative meeting.  Division meet directors shall attend three sessions on May 5th, May 19th and June 23rd.
  8. Division referees and software personnel shall attend their respective session on June 23rd and 25th respectively.
